2008 American Legacy Collection
The 2008 United States American Legacy Collection is touted as the most complete collection of 2008 dated United States proof coins. It was released by the US Mint on October 27, 2008 priced at $100 and limited to 50,000 sets. The collection was only available for sale though December 12, 2008.
Each set contains a total of 15 coins. This includes proof versions of all coins struck for circulation in 2008 including the State Quarters and Presidential Dollars. Additionally, the set contains a proof version of the $1 Silver Bald Eagle Commemorative.
The coins are all contained in a custom designed folder. It features illustrations and information about the American Bald Eagle.

Earlier in the year, the US Mint had issued the standard 2008 Proof Set. This set contained all of the coins above except for the Bald Eagle Commemorative and came in less ornate packaging.
