2010 Grand Canyon National Park Silver Bullion Coin

Coin Information
The Grand Canyon National Park Silver Bullion Coin will be one of the first five releases of the new series from the United States Mint. The designs of the America the Beautiful Quarters are being presented on the larger canvas of a 3 inch diameter coin struck from 5 ounces of .999 fine silver.
The silver bullion version of the coin will be available through precious metals dealers starting on December 6, 2010. The US Mint will also offer a collectible uncirculated version of the coin, available during the first quarter of 2011. The bullion coins will not carry a mint mark, while the uncirculated coins will carry the "P" mint mark.
The design of the Grand Canyon Silver Bullion Coin will follow that of the Grand Canyon Quarter, with a canyon level view of the granaries above the Nakoweap Delta. This was designed and sculpted by Susan Gamble. The obverse of the coin features a portrait of George Washington, following the original design of John Flanagan.
Maximum mintages for the 5 ounce silver coins have been announced as 33,000 of the bullion coins and 27,000 of the collector versions of the coins.
